Hello again! Day two of the blog’s existence and I still haven’t been able to change the header picture to a more appropriately snow-covered one! However, there should be by tonight invitations to the other members in the group, and thus you don’t have to listen to just me ramble on! I am slowly making it a more accessible blog in general too, however I am learning, thus please be patient.
In terms of the travels to the Arctic, the little step closer is the fact that it is 80 days till we leave!! We leave on the 22nd of July with some of us returning three weeks later and others returning 5 weeks later. The trainee leaders return even later than that! I have a feeling the entire trip for them is six weeks, with them leaving before the 22nd of July, but I could be wrong. Most likely I am!
Last night I also tried to improve my fitness regime. I do run and swim at least once a week, but as a free gym comes with my work, I thought it would be a good idea to use it. I went on the running machine, the rowing machine and the bike machine. The bike machine isn’t a normal one; it’s lower and you’re further back than on a normal pedal bike. It must be to use different muscles in your legs cause my sure do ache today! And I can safely say I LOVE THE ROWING MACHINE! Even though it gave me blisters on my hands…
Anyway, back to work
Hope you’ve got sunshine like I have!
